Let me introduce myself

Shelley Pillado

A visionary and compassionate leader, I am Shelley Pillado—a born-and-raised midwesterner who was fortunate to find my path early on. Studying Occupational Therapy ignited my passion for helping others, and over the years, I’ve embraced my entrepreneurial spirit, building businesses that serve and uplift people in meaningful ways.

Now, I focus my efforts on senior care, partnering and educating individuals and families on the importance of planning ahead and what care for our elders should look like. Too often, life presents us with unexpected challenges, forcing us to make critical decisions in crisis mode. My mission is to change that—helping people understand that creating a plan, even when it doesn’t seem necessary, can significantly improve outcomes when difficult decisions arise.

I also own and operate a seven-bed assisted living home, where I provide compassionate care and a comfortable, supportive environment for seniors. My hands-on experience in running an assisted living home gives me unique insight into the challenges and solutions that families face when navigating long-term care decisions.

If you want to ensure that you or your loved ones are prepared for the future, I can help guide you through the process:

  • Want to avoid making life-altering decisions under stress? I’ll provide the tools and knowledge to plan ahead with confidence.
  • Unsure where to start with senior care planning? I’ll break it down step by step so you feel informed and empowered.
  • Seeking a better way to navigate aging, caregiving, or long-term care options? I’ll help you explore solutions that align with your needs and values.

I’ve always been someone who looks for a better way to do things. My career has been a dynamic journey—ever-evolving, challenging, and fulfilling. I thrive on the opportunity to learn, grow, and adapt, all while making a real difference in people’s lives.

My goal is to serve as many people as possible, helping them navigate the complexities of senior care with clarity and peace of mind. Whether you’re planning for yourself or a loved one, I’m here to ensure that when the time comes, you’re prepared—not panicked.

Planning isn’t just paperwork and checklists. It’s knowing what questions to ask before you’re forced to, understanding the signs that a parent may need more support, and having the right tools in place before the fall, the crisis, or the sleepless nights of worry. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing the real stories that shaped my philosophy—from families who navigated aging with grace to those who wish they had known what I’m about to teach you.

Because one moment can change everything…

And in my next post, I’ll share the story of a daughter who thought she had plenty of time…right up until the day she didn’t.
