Current Care Partner Jobs in Elkhart IN

Full-Time Third Shift Care Partner

Part-Time Second Shift Care Partner

Night Owl With a Heart of Gold and a Brain That Works

Are you the kind of person who notices that someone didn’t finish their bedtime tea and immediately wonders if something might be wrong?

Do you naturally straighten a picture on the wall, fluff a pillow, refill the ice tray, or wipe the counter because you simply notice those things?

Can you walk into a room, quickly assess what’s happening, and know what needs attention?

If you answered yes, keep reading.

About This Position

HolistiCare Homes is not a facility.

It’s a real home.

We laugh together, celebrate together, comfort one another, and sometimes walk through life’s hardest moments together.

We’re looking for a full-time Third Shift Care Partner who values quiet, meaningful work and takes pride in leaving every room—and every person—a little better than they found them.

During the overnight shift, you’ll often be the only awake team member in the home. That requires someone who thinks critically, works independently, and understands how important observation and good judgment truly are.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You…

  • Love older adults and treat every person with dignity and respect.
  • Notice problems before they become emergencies.
  • Work well independently without constant supervision.
  • Take initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do.
  • Show up on time and keep your commitments.
  • Take ownership of your work.
  • Understand that caregiving includes cleaning, documenting, observing, comforting, laundry, dishes, and creating a peaceful environment.
  • Find satisfaction in making life easier and safer for someone else.

This Probably Isn’t the Right Fit If You…

  • Need frequent reminders to complete routine responsibilities.
  • Believe certain tasks are “someone else’s job.”
  • Spend more time on your phone than paying attention to residents.
  • Have difficulty maintaining reliable attendance.
  • Tend to walk past problems instead of solving them.
  • Prefer waiting for detailed instructions before taking action.
  • Are simply looking for a paycheck rather than meaningful work.

What You Can Expect

We believe in training, coaching, and supporting our team.

Questions are encouraged. Learning is expected.

After your training period, however, we also expect our Care Partners to think critically, use good judgment, and confidently work independently.

Our residents and their families deserve caregivers they can trust—even during the quietest hours of the night.

Requirements

  • Life experience strongly preferred
  • Dementia care experience is a plus
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent attendance history
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening and background checks

Compensation: $17–$20 per hour, based on demonstrated experience, reliability, and ability to work independently.
